Child Secretary to the Foster Care Unit, Sundbyberg Municipality
Are you a qualified social worker with experience working with children and youth within social services? Do you want a meaningful role where you can use your skills to create stability and security for children in need of support? We are now looking for an engaged and experienced child secretary who wants to be part of our team.
The Foster Care Unit in Sundbyberg Municipality works with children and youth placed in foster care as well as unaccompanied refugee children. The group consists of ten employees working as foster care secretaries or child secretaries. We also have two placement secretaries responsible for purchasing external care and contract writing for all children and youth.
We are a collaborative organization that works cross-professionally and takes the user's own reality as a starting point. In our ongoing development work together with our open care, we have focused on network work and interaction observations. Our values are permeated by a user perspective and a child perspective. We work from a systems theory foundation. The unit is led by a unit manager and group leader.
About the Position
Your main tasks involve monitoring the care for children and youth placed in foster care. Building and establishing trust and relationships over time with the placed children and youth is a significant and important part of the work. You will follow up to ensure that the care is functioning and participate in collaborative meetings to ensure that the placed children/youth have their needs met regarding good care, school, healthcare, etc. In our ongoing development work together with our open care, we have focused on network work and interaction observations. You will closely collaborate with foster care secretaries, and many follow-ups will be conducted jointly. You will also have contact with the biological parents and work towards facilitating functioning visits and contact with the biological network.
About You
You are a qualified social worker with experience in authority exercise within the area of children and youth. We expect you to have good knowledge of relevant legislation, and it is important that you can express yourself well both verbally and in writing. A driver's license (B) is required as the position involves travel. We place great value on personal suitability. We are looking for someone with a genuine commitment to children's rights and safety.
